AED Defibrillators

The term AED defibrillator is actually redundant because the D in aed stands for defibrillator. But like PIN number and ATM machine, some people forget, or never knew, that it’s actually an acronym of several words, and not a brand name or just a word somebody made up somewhere. As a result, many people might search for or refer to AEDs and an AED defibrillation device. A defibrillator is a machine that sends a jolt of electricity direction to the heart. Many people are familiar with large defibrillators that they see on television shows and in the movies. These are the machines that send a charge to a stopped heart between two paddles that are placed on the chest. The automatic external defibrillator, however, is not that sort of defibrillator. For one thing, they are much smaller. That’s because they are meant to be carried around, either by the person who is at risk for suffering arrhythmia, by the person charged with the care of the patient, or by the emergency medical responders. They are supposed to be carried around because they are supposed to attached to your body so it can sense when the arrhythmia starts. When it senses an irregular heart rhythm, it will send an automatic jolt to the heart to correct the irregular rhythm.
There are many different brands of defibrillators on the market. Each brand has something to set it apart from the other. That includes convenience, design, portability, responsiveness, price, and ease of use. You can find the different brands of aed defibrillators online or through the recommendation of your doctor.
