CARDIAC DEFIBRILLATION     PRODUCTS     CONTACT      HOME
This year, at least 250,000 Americans will have a sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). Ninety percent will die before receiving emergency care. Early defibrillation is the single most effective way to increase survival.

Now, Anyone Can Save A Life! With a minimal expense, you can drastically increase the odds of saving the life of someone who suffers a sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) on your premises, or in your community.

Automated external defibrillators (AEDs) are the key link in the Chain of Survival, and provide precise therapy for sudden cardiac arrest by delivering an electrical waveform, or more simply, a shock to the heart.  This treatment must be delivered within a 7 to 10 minute window of opportunity to provide a meaningful chance of survival.

AEDs are designed specifically for the first responder at an emergency... typically a layperson.  The U.S. survival rate is expected to increase dramatically with the expanded awareness and placement of AEDs.  We strongly encourage you or your company to contact LifeServers today for more information about the placement of the LIFEPAK 500 AED in your home, workplace, or community.

Survival rates above 50 percent have been achieved where AEDs are readily available.

Why the LIFEPAK 500 AED?
  • Medtronic Physio-Control invented the first external defibrillator 40 years ago. Today they are the world's  largest provider of external defibrillators.
  • They offer one of the largest and best-trained networks of technical service representatives in the  medical device industry.
  • On site service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 5-year warranty on parts and labor. This is an exclusive feature.
  • The American Heart Association's guidelines recommend escalating energy levels of 200j, 300j, and 360j. The LIFEPAK 5 The LIFEPAK 500 meets these guidelines.
  • The LIFEPAK 500 is the only AED that adapts to patients by measuring impedance, adapts to current international guidelines 2000, and adapts to current protocols.
  • Biphasic Technology with escalating energy provides a range of energy levels to match  protocols. This technology avoids the time and expense of re-training now and provides for future changes in protocols.
  • Simple two button operation. Voice prompts guide user through CPR and defibrillation. LCD display provides backup in noisy situations.
  • Self-testing. LIFEPAK 500 will perform a comprehensive self-test each morning at 3:00am. Unit will beep  every 20 seconds if a fault is detected.
  • Five-year battery system. No charging or maintenance required.
  • Patented motion detection that recognizes patient movement caused by the provider. This artifact can  cause a non-shockable rhythm to appear shockable and visa versa. This feature prompts the rescuer not  to touch the patient. This is an exclusive feature.
  • Compatibility with local EMS. Eight out of 10 responding units across the country will arrive with a LIFEPAK  defibrillator. This allows the patient to be handed off to the rescue squad without delay of changing  electrodes.
  • Partnership in implementing your AED program. Medtronic Physio-Control will coordinate training  throughout all of your facilities along with advising on proper placements of the units.

     The AED Wall Cabinet...

The AED Wall Cabinet is perfect for facilities such as airports, health clubs, golf  courses, hotels, high rise building, and gated communities.  This cabinet offers three trim styles:  semi-recessed (3"return trim), recessed (flat trim), and surface  mounted.  These three options allow for any mounting application.  Each cabinet  is manufactured of steel coated with a baked-on white epoxy finish.
The cabinets are equipped with a  standard alarm that can be armed or disarmed with a key lock.  It can also be fitted with magnetic contacts and lead wires to tie into most new or existing low voltage fire and/or security systems.  Standard labeling,  acrylic glazing, and pull handle are also included with each cabinet, as well as one AED wall placard and a  CPR/AED wall poster.

Also available for the LIFEPAK 500 AED is this durable carrying case featuring a snap opening, detachable shoulder strap, internal pocket for electrode/cable storage, and slot for AED instruction card.

We strongly encourage you or your company to contact LifeServers today for more information about the  placement of the LIFEPAK 500 AED in your home, workplace, or community.

Implementing an AED Program with LifeServers...

LifeServers will coordinate all phases of acquiring and implementing your AED program, which will include assistance in the following steps:

Either a Medical Authorization Form or a written prescription signed by a doctor must be filled out. If you  do not have a Physician or Medical Director, the 3-year LIFENET MD Medical Control Plan is currently available at a reasonable cost.

Set up a CPR/AED training program for employees and other support staff. Training costs are nominal and are offered by several agencies including the American Heart Association.

Determine your needs. How many AEDs will be needed and where will they be situated to provide easy access? We can help you determine this with a walk through of your facility but your personnel knows  best how long it takes to get to every area.

Medtronic Physio-Control personnel are also  available to work with your safety committee. In-Service programs provide an excellent overview of   LIFEPAK 500 operation and benefits.

Although LIFEPAK 500 AEDs are essentially maintenance-free, feel comfortable in knowing that each unit  has an ON-SITE service warranty that guarantees response within 24 hours, 7 days a week by local  technicians. This means that you never have to worry about mailing the unit in for repair or service.   Notify your local EMS and make them aware that you have an AED(s). Collaboration with EMS should complement, not replace, existing 9-1-1 structures. Saving lives is a shared responsibility.
